Contrary to a common myth, the rain does NOT make your windows dirty. Rain is relatively clean, and unlike tap water that comes out of sprinklers and irrigation systems, rain is devoid of minerals – which means it will not leave water spots. The reason people think rain makes their windows look dirty is because the windows were dirty to begin with. If your window is dirty and particularly if your screens are dirty and the rain gets them wet, what you’re left with is mud residue. So, it is not the rain making the windows dirty, it is dirt that makes them dirty. When we clean your windows, we clean the glass itself, the window frame and we wash your screens with soap and water - Often times you’ll see just the simple dry brushing method used by others. Furthermore, all of the exterior glass is cleaned with a pure water cleaning system so no soap residue is left behind. That means if it were to rain the day after, it would have no impact on your clean windows. In many cases windows are covered by roof lines and rain cannot come into contact with them - We actually have the ability to clean your windows while it is raining and still get perfect results.
Window Cleaning
Windows are one of the most easily overlooked elements of cleaning, despite the fact that they build up dirt faster than almost any other part of your home. Rain, wind, and dust all contribute to windows looking less than their best. With our highly trained staff, specialized equipment, and years of experience, you can rely on Cleanestouch to take care of your residential window cleaning and leave them looking brand new.

We specialize in post construction window cleaning. Post construction window cleaning requires a very specialized technique. Besides simply cleaning dust and dirt that is accumulated during the construction process, it also involves the removal of construction debris that includes substances such as paint, plaster, stucco and texture, cement, tape residue, and window manufacturer stickers. Safe removal of these substances requires a particular subset of knowledge and training, chemical use, and specific tools. We are well versed in these techniques - please give us a call for more information.
This is a matter of personal preference. Most of our clients that have requested to be on a regular maintenance program have us come either quarterly (every 3 months) or every 6 months. Although a few of our clients ask us to come in more frequently, generally you will not need to have your windows cleaned more than every three months, as the methods we use actually keep your windows cleaner for longer. In our opinion, one should look at having their windows cleaned at least twice a year.
There really isn’t a less optimal time to have your windows cleaned. Often times clients are concerned about having their windows cleaned during the winter months, fearing the possibility of rain. Rain is not a concern and winter months are just as good as any time to clean your windows.
We offer the full window cleaning service package. Our general maintenance window cleaning service always includes both the exterior and interior surface of the glass itself, power washing the window screens (both window screens and sliding door screens), cleaning of the window frames and sills, and cleaning of the window tracks. Our price and service always include the above. If you prefer to have only the outside of your windows cleaned, we do accommodate to exterior only cleaning. However, in our experience we have found that the inside surface of the windows needs to be cleaned just as much as the outside. An exterior only cleaning would include the exterior surface of the glass and power washing of the screens.
Most of the time when a client needs their windows cleaned, they need our general maintenance window cleaning. Maintenance cleaning removes dirt, environmental pollutants, bird droppings, bug goop, build-up caused by interior activity (such as cooking, air conditioning/heating systems, laundry, etc.) However, there are two types of things that are not removed through a general maintenance window washing: Debris commonly associated with post construction or remodeling work, such as paint, plaster, stucco, texture, tape, or window manufacturer sticker debris Mineral damage due to hard water sources such as landscape irrigation overspray, metal oxidation, or masonry runoff. Removal of these substances falls into the areas of post construction window cleaning and glass restoration respectively. We do specialize in both of these types of services if needed.
